Local marketing playbook
Why simple beats complex in local marketing
If we had to give Charlotte service businesses one piece of marketing advice and nothing else, it would be this: simplify.
Most local websites try to do too much. Five different services on the homepage, three competing calls to action, a slider with eight messages, a chat widget, a popup. The visitor lands, gets overwhelmed, and bounces.
Confused people do not buy. They leave.
Strip it down:
- One clear headline that says what you do and where
- One main call to action (call, book, get a quote, pick one)
- A short list of services with one sentence each
- Reviews
- Phone number visible at the top, the middle, and the bottom
That is a website that converts. It is not impressive. It is not creative. It just works.
Same principle applies to Google ads, Google posts, even your voicemail. Less, said clearly, beats more, said cleverly.
Same idea drives our local SEO in Charlotte work: fewer, better moves that actually rank.
